Can music and sounds really help you overcome sleep disorders or are they simply distractions, keeping you awake?

Music and sounds can be used to help you fall asleep faster and sleep better. This is an interview with healing musician Angela Sciberras before her presentation on Sleep With The Experts.

 
In that training program Angela talked about using melody, rhythm, beat and gave details on single instrument music vs orchestral, using sounds to distract from pain, even sounds we can make ourselves like humming. It gives new meaning to 'sleeping soundly'!

Sleep Disorders: Do You Know What's Keeping You Awake?

Suffering from sleep disorders? You are not alone. Nine in ten Australians (89%) would love to modify their everyday regimen to achieve a more healthy and more well balanced lifestyle, with 60 percent of these believing that more sleep would help them reach that according to a research performed by Galaxy Research.

Many individuals recognize that lack of sleep influences their effectiveness and accuracy at the job, and is also recognized to have a link to heart related illnesses, hypertension, mishaps, decreased immune function, worn out adrenals, sexual dysfunction, learning and even behaviour issues, amongst other things. But how many people link emotional and psychological troubles with lack of sleep?

Depression, anxiety, stress, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and obsessive feelings can all affect the quantity and quality of the sleep we have. And it functions either way. If we now have these issues, sleep deficiency is shown to aggravate the problem. Without apparent approaches to get a improved night’s sleep some people result in a vicious circle.
